Day-to-day tour itinerary
Day 1
Marrakech
Arrive Marrakech airport and private transfer to your riad in the medina. You have the rest of the day free to explore the city depending on arrival time. The old medina of Marrakech is a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleys, with different neighbourhoods and streets specialising in various arts, crafts and produce. Take time to relax in your traditional riad guesthouse, enjoy the roof terrace and soak up the sounds and smells of Morocco’s favourite city. Dinner will be served at your riad/hotel this evening.

Day 2
Marrakech - Imlil/Toubkal National Park
This morning you meet your dedicated English-speaking AMGA certified rock climbing instructor/guide and pick-up in your private 4x4. Head to the Oukaimeden* ski resort in High Atlas Mountains (approx 1 hour from Marrakech) for introductory rock climbing tuition, safety instruction and learning to use the equipment, individual assessment, confidence building. Picnic lunch supplied. Late afternoon (before nightfall) drive through the popular trekking destination of Imlil Valley in Toubkal National Park and reach our charming boutique guesthouse constructed from mud, stone and wood. Dinner and relax on the terrace to soak up the outstanding views.

Day 3
Toubkal National Park
Early departure from your mountain guesthouse with local Berber guide and your dedicated English-speaking climbing guide (with mule to carry equipment, packs and picnic lunch). Spend the full day hiking and climbing the rock faces and waterfalls between Imlil and Aremd valleys. Late afternoon return on foot to the guesthouse near Imlil for a wonderful home-cooked meal of locally sourced produce.

Day 4
Imlil - Marrakech
Morning time is free to relax on the terrace or explore (unguided) further up the valley. We can arrange for a 3hr morning trek with local guide (and mule) if you like. You can choose to have lunch at your guesthouse or in the village of Imlil, where you will be met by your driver and 4x4 vehicle to take you the 2 hrs journey back to Marrakech. Evening is free to make your own plans in Marrakech. NB You can add an extra day/night here in the mountains to give you a full day for trekking with mules, Berber guide and to have lunch with a local family.

Day 5
Marrakech
Day at leisure in Marrakech for exploring this fascinating and exotic city. Wander the souks, the labyrinthine medina, visit Sultans’ palaces and the magical main square of Place Jemaa el Fna, with its snake charmers, musicians, storytellers, hawkers, side stalls and nightly sizzling food grills. We can provide an official city guide for half or full-day tour of key monuments, palaces and sights if you wish. NB You may also wish to avail of other activities this day such as cookery class, quad biking, camel riding, hot-air balloon ride, horse riding.

Day 6
Marrakech
Private transfer to the airport from your riad as required. Alternatively, you can choose to continue your holiday in Morocco with us by adding on one of our Suggested Morocco Adventure Tour Itineraries.
