Morocco Adventure Holidays - Family tours
The Kingdom of Morocco is a great place to bring the whole family for a vacation - the country offers sandy beaches that stretch for miles, mountain regions for gentle hikes or donkey treks, exotic medinas with fascinating twisting alleys and street stalls brimming with weird and wonderful merchandise. There are heaps of outdoor adventure and cultural activities to enjoy inside the cities or out in the countryside (see our Add-On Activities) and by no means least is the magnificent Sahara desert–probably the worlds biggest sandpit!
By travelling in private comfortable air-conditioned 4x4 vehicles with our experienced drivers your family are in safe hands. Our vehicles can be fitted with a baby seat or an older child/booster seat if requested. You can travel at a pace that suits you, stopping whenever you need to "find a tree". Our drivers even know where to find that tree when there are none! You will also have an English-speaking guide to accompany you throughout.
With up to date local knowledge we can advise on museums, attractions, parks and restaurants that will appeal to your family. We will also advise you on the different styles of accommodation available in each location that might suit you best during your tour.
Morocco has loads to offer for adventurous kids aged from 5 yrs to 95 yrs!
Family-Friendly or Family-Specific tours?
Most of our tours are classified as Family-Friendly. Look for the green FF icon on the list of Tours at a Glance.
These Family-Friendly tours are our regular tour suggestions suited to adult groups of travellers and friends. In most cases they are perfectly suitable for families with children of all ages but may need to be adapted slightly to allow for shorter daily journeys or to include or omit certain activities. It very much depends on the interests and age-range of the family.
We have also designed a number of tours specifically with families in mind. Look for the red FS icon (above) in the list of Tours at a Glance.
These Family-Specific tours include days allocated for adventure and cultural activities and we offer a choice of carefully selected accommodations with large outdoor spaces, swimming pools and family-friendly amenities. Travelling times are kept to under 5 hours per day where possible.
The only tours we do not recommend for Families are those where there are intensive days of driving, extended stays in the desert with basic facilities or where there are specific skills required e.g. our Photography and Pottery-Making Special-Interest holidays.
